19 July: Lafrowda Day, music, street performers, stalls, refreshments, bouncy castles, parades, Plen-An-Gwarry mystery plays.

12 July: Rock Oyster Artisan Food Festival

17th century Dinham House, near Wadebridge, circus acts, kids’ entertainment, alternative performing arts, bazaar, cookery demos, gypsy folk to reggae music.

16 to 20 July: Penzance Literary Festival’s

LittleFest – school and after-school events: meet famous authors & creative writing workshops. 18 to 20 July: Tropical Pressure Festival,

Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan, family friendly event with camping. The sounds, sights and flavours of Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean with the main stage music, local acoustic stage, free singing, craft, drumming and dance workshops, world film screenings, kids’ activity area, meditation areas, Starry Skies storytelling, and 100% vegetarian world street food market.

18 to 20 July: Boconnoc Steam Fair.

An old fashioned steam extravaganza with magnificent steam engines, fairground rides, and vintage cars.

24 to 27 July: Port Eliot Festival

A magical combination of books, food, music, art, comedy, fashion, films, flowers, camping, wildlife and water, for all ages.

26 July to 1 Aug: Charlestown Regatta Week,

Fun triathlon, raft races, donkey derby, live music and colourful carnival.

Fun at Culdrose Air Day31 July: Culdrose Air Day,

Meet the Fleet Air Arm (the Royal Navy’s flying force) at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose. The ultimate day out for those who love helicopters and fast jets. The roar of engines, the smell of  aviation fuel and the screech of Fast Jets as they ‘Pull G’ will give you butterflies. Watch daring helicopter displays, meet Front Line Squadron aircrew, pilots, and the Search and Rescue  Squadron, climb aboard state-of-the-art aircraft, be winched high into the air & sit at the controls of a 15 tonne helicopter. 8 to 17 Aug: Falmouth Week,

17 to 23 Aug: Fowey Regatta and Carnival Week

Amazing Red Arrows display, colourful parade of floats, marching bands, fireworks, live music, crab-catching and swimming competitions, giant pasty ceremony, & magical torch light dinghy procession.

25 Aug: Newlyn Fish Festival

28 to 31 Aug: Tall Ships Regatta, Falmouth
